{what i wore}

Yesterday's birthday began with coffee, pink cake pops, and chatting with my mom, and it ended with a sweet dinner date at Outback with my sister and my new brother in law. Yet, before my feet hit the floor in the morning, I was honestly debating whether to embrace the new year in thankfulness or give in to my inkling desire to fall into a ball on the floor and cry over the things I want & don't have at this age, the plans I had made and the things that haven't worked out according to my little plan A.
But how can I help but be thankful for all the Lord has done this year? To be transparent with you, it was the hardest year of my life so far. Full of ups, downs, some failures, disappointments, and learning how to get back up, be strong and keeping my chin up....Thankful ever more for GRACE. Thankful that I've found through the chaff and wheat, who my truest friends are. And what gems they are.
A special thanks to my dear friend Lisa for posting on my blog yesterday, what a precious friend, I am thankful. Go check out her lovely blog, Like Rain. Inspirations - inspires me every day!
Thankful for another year & praying that in whatever the Lord has for me this year, I honor him.

Today I am linking up with: Captivated By The Beauty Of Grace for a weekly "what i wore" series on wednesdays. Who doesn't love an excuse to put cute outfits together? Join up too!
